Some drivers can be such jerks.. They don't want to stop at zebra crossings and even gave a smirk when confronted with the pedestrian. I mean.. come on, is having a car such a big deal? Must you be all cocky-willy? Is this what it is all about? Getting a car just for the glory and pride it involves? This is the character that results in the increase of accidents on the road due to road rage. People with big, inflatable egos( just waiting to be trampled...) are those who are what i call:" the non de car drivers". However, i guess buying a car is just a matter of an investment: whether you have the ability to hold on to the investment. Its all just a game of gambling, just like how life itself is a big gamble. If you struggle to maintain your car and end up losing everything else, is it all worth it? Just for a few moments of pleasure and you lay such a stake?
I have nothing against cars or car drivers for that matter. In fact, i believe cars help facilitate our daily lives in a way. Though considering the fact that our country is not exactly what you would call big and unreachable by foot an the extensive network of public transport, there's practically no need for a PERSONAL transport. Yes, thats it.
A personal transport.
I guess everyone just wants something we can call our own. Something thats within our control. Something that belongs. So, a car is the answer. We will be able to go as and when we like. Speeding off in the wee hours is more pleasurable since there will be no public transport avaliable then. Avaliable during an emergency getaway. Basically, just a set of wheels to take you everywhere. A personal investment nonetheless.
And so eventually, you will ask me: do i want a car then? Well, my answer will be kind of vague. I can say not really now but you neva know what the future holds rite? Firstly, i hav practically no sense of direction. Secondly, the mechanism involved is really... Lastly, you can't just abandon a car when you get lost, and flag a cab instead rite? There said, ask me 10 yrs down the road, i might hav a diff response altogether.
