ok.. some people might feel that socialisation is a part and parcel of life and in truth, it is. But, think of it this way.. every now and then, you meet new people and the socialisation process takes a whole new level. Its the stage whereby first impressions count. You can start with an opening line: " Hello, are you in the same course?" or " what class are you from?" or "Hi, have i seen you before?"... All this are opening lines to kick- start a conversation. Most communication processes start in this way and it gears the other party what you are going to say next.
However, it kind of gets a bit cliche as time goes by. If u do not say hello, people will assume that you are snubbing them or that you are just plain arrogant. Yet, sometimes, the snubs are unintenional and they go unnoticed by the 'snubber'. Here, some people might think otherwise: " they are just plain rude".
The world works this way. Or rather from what i have observed, it does seems to be this way. At times, the socialisation wears us out and we just wish to slip to some corner ,unnoticed. Think of it this way: you had a bad day and at the end of it you went clubbing, in the hope of being alone. Along came a stranger who wanted to chat you up.
But, you are not in the mood to talk or play up to their antics. So, you decided to ignore that person and after a few more persistent tries, he/she will go away and blabber to some other about your 'wierd' behaviour. thats just how it works-- Sometimes people jump to conclusions just on that.
well, this is just one of my neurotic thoughts that just might be the truth... haas.
Ok, nxt topic: school. (what else?)
school's been fine.. the assignments are rolling in, no doubt. But, its not as bad as last sem i guess... The assignments are of a smaller scale and mostly individual projects so its fine. Not that grp projs are bad but jus that we hav to meet- up and do toons of discussion: staying late in school and kind of stuff. Yea, and considering that i hav to travel far to go back home, it doesnt seem all tat appealing. But, grp projs do hav their adv: the workload is shared! haas..
But, its ok.. i hav no complaints with such a schedule! And,, well.. classes r fun too.. In a way.
